Background

After interviewing Chinese restaurants in Glasgow, like Sichuan House and Loog Fung, We found that due to the features of Chinese food, which has a lot of oil and soup, and the desire of restaurant owners to save money, almost all the Chinese restaurants use disposable plastic boxes as takeaway containers, resulting in a lot of plastic pollution. So we wanted to offer a sustainable solution to the problem of plastic box pollution - to recycle existing household recyclable food containers that have been rigorously sterilised and used as takeaway boxes, replace some of the disposable plastic takeaway boxes—and put recyclable ones back on the market.
